The AP is hit and miss and most of the time you could hit a target with HE instead, do the same if not more damage while starting triple fires and destroying half the modules on a ship, which is why you see braindeads sat at max range (24km lol) just spamming HE all game and getting rewarded for it or regular players that will always use HE regardless (even though the AP will generally work ok once you close the distance, or aim differently). the вЂњmega zaoвЂќ), abuse the stupid concealment, abuse the stupid HE and then when you take lots of damage (just avoid torps) heal it all back in seconds (its ability to tank damage kind of revolves around the heal)вЂ¦ In reality the Conq should be played more like some sort of faceroll super cruiser (e.g. Now admittedly I spend the vast majority of my time firing AP in this ship (stupid me eh) because I want a BB experience. ItвЂ™s a box of gimmicks that makes me feel like a twat for playing it. The word I would use to describe this ship is вЂњcheapвЂќ. My mistake was wanting a BB that did BB stuff and picking the wrong shipвЂ¦ I liked the Conqueror in the beginning, but over time, I realised that because of how powerful and broken it is, it actually isnвЂ™t that fun to play (I like to think most players will not get much enjoyment out of an OP/broken ship). IвЂ™ll write a disclaimer here, that I chose the RN BB line, as my first BB line, because well itвЂ™s the RN and since when I was younger, I had one of those old Revell 1:144 scale models of the KGV, so I wanted that ship as well (imagine my disappointment :/) Big damage and tanking games in the Yamato are much more satisfying than the same in the Conq, where getting normally nice achievements like Arsonist and Dreadnought are rewarded nearly every game for mashing your face against the keyboard. Every game being 100k+ damage sounds nice on paper, but ultimately, your fire damage is primarily farmed on BBs who can heal most of it back anyway, making it less consequential than straight AP citadels on those same ships, and deletions on support cruisers, i.e., more impactful teamplay that pushes your team closer to the win. I noticed, however, the RN BB line was beginning to teach me terrible habits like sailing broadside for long periods of time and sniping all-game from 20km away.

Personally, I had a blast with the Conqkek for about 20-30 matches, before shelving it near permanently. Play it and revel in the OP bullshit, get bored, get the Yamato, and become a better player overall by getting good in the Yamato.
